Located on the west coast of Italy, Tuscany also holds a significant position on the Tyrrhenian Sea, blessing the region with fresh breezes and rich culinary treasures. The coastline features long sandy beaches that invite relaxed days and hidden coves waiting to be discovered.

The historic cities of Tuscany are living witnesses of a rich past that dates back to the time of the Etruscans. Florence, the crown of the region, is world-renowned for its unparalleled Renaissance art and architecture. Here, visitors walk in the footsteps of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, experiencing the works that forever changed the world.

Smaller towns like Volterra and San Gimignano also possess their unique charm. Surrounded by sturdy walls, Volterra is known for its Etruscan past and alabaster craftsmanship. The town majestically perches on a hill, offering a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape. San Gimignano, often referred to as the "Medieval Manhattan," rises with its characteristic medieval towers, presenting an almost untouched picture of medieval city life.

No visit to Tuscany would be complete without a tasting of the local wine. The region is famous for its vineyards, which produce the world-renowned Chianti, among others. Our beaches

Not much further, about 30 minutes from your rural retreat, Cecina beckons with its wide, family-friendly beach and gently sloping shores. The pine forests in the background provide shady spots for a picnic or a siesta on hot summer days.

Each of these beaches has its own magic and is yet so close to Santa Luce that you can easily travel there and back — perfect for days under the sun of Italy and the sweet idleness by the sea.

Just a short drive from our agriturismo, some of the most charming beaches in Tuscany await, enchanting with their beauty and tranquility.

Castiglioncello, about 25 minutes from Santa Luce, exudes the charm of an old fishing village nestled against the cliffs. Its beaches are surrounded by dramatic rocks and offer crystal-clear water, perfect for a refreshing dip or snorkeling in the underwater world.

The white sandy beaches of Vada, just about 25 minutes away by car, create an almost surreal landscape. Here, the soft sand feels like powdered sugar under your feet, and the water shines in a spectacular turquoise that invites you to linger and dream.
